What's the function of gRAMEN?

The gRAMEN token has two crucial functions:

  1. Creates a decentralized & fair system of distributing allocation in Curated Launches

  2. Enables the community to participate in the growth and development of Ramen and receive protocol fees accrued from trading volume from Permissionless Launches.

Why do we need Gacha, a separate points system?

The design of the Gacha points system is created with intention and deliberation.

  1. We intend to reward users for active ecosystem participation – For Ramen to be a net positive force in Berachain, we intend to reward users with potential allocation when they contribute positively in the ecosystem e.g. held certain ecosystem NFTs, contributed liquidity, participated in governance. Ideally, this reward system should be distinct from governance and protocol fee-sharing perks presented from gRAMEN.

  2. The mechanism behind allocation reservation should ideally be a system where "points" can be deducted and expended. This creates a more intricate dynamic and intention where users have a limited resource to consider before entering into a launch, as compared to a mechanism where users simply use their gRAMEN value to enter into every Curated Launch.

  3. Ideally, these "points" should be linearly vested to create stable demand on $RAMEN tokens. Suppose the following scenario: Curated Launches are announced periodically and allocation is based on gRAMEN value. In this scenario, what will likely happen is that $RAMEN will be bought extensively at the point of a launch announcement, and sold after a launch is complete. This will create violent price volatility that can be detrimental to the long-term growth and governance of the protocol.

What is Airdrop Recipes?

Airdrop Recipes is a native token airdrop management module on Ramen. With Airdrop Recipes, protocols on Berachain launching tokens can create custom token airdrop campaigns to engage and reward early community members, NFT holders, and users.

Eligible users will be able to reserve and claim these token airdrops on Ramen seamlessly.

To ensure the quality and legitimacy of token airdrop campaigns on Ramen, protocol founders can only select from whitelisted token and NFT contracts. The whitelisted selection will expand over time and will be governed by gRAMEN holders.
